Host a game and share the code. 2–8 players can join, and the host starts it.
A game is 3 rounds. Each round asks one question. The highest total after the last round wins, and equal totals are a draw.
The host picks the settings from the grid menu in the lobby: easy questions (one lookup) or difficult ones (several lookups chained together, so no single search gives the answer), and whether the search rule below is on.
Answering
Find the answer with SCRAPR’s search and type it into the answer box. Capital letters, accents and “the” don’t matter.
Everything stays inside SCRAPR: result links open in the in-app viewer.
Search rule (when switched on)
You can’t search with the question’s key words. Other words, including small ones like “the” and “of”, are fine, and plurals count as the same word.
Scoring
A correct answer starts at 1000 points.
−2 per second (up to −500).
−10 per link you click (up to −200).
−50 per wrong guess (up to −200).
A correct answer is always worth at least 100. No correct answer scores 0.
Timers
When one player gets it right, everyone else has 60 seconds to finish.
A round also ends after 5 minutes if nobody solves it. There are 8 seconds between rounds.
